florida back  site update 2/8/07

Hi my name is Travis Green. I race Local, Regional, and National Offroad events all over the country. With the support of my family and all of my sponsors, I have won 4 AMA National Titles and several other titles along the way.

2006 Was a very successful season in the AMA series. Wrapping up the # 3 plate in the AMA National Harescramble Series was huge for me. There was a lot of stiff competition all year long. I battled with frontrunners Robbie Jenks and Nate Kanney on several occasions. It became obvious that with some work during the offseason I could come back in 2007 with a fighting chance to Take the Title. My goal is to win that AMA National Title.

The GNCC series was also a successful season. Winning top amateur throughout the year, besting the 250A class a number of times, and finishing the year with an Overall number of 15, gave me the credibility that I needed to pick up a Factory Ride for the Pro Ranks in 2007.

2007

In the 2007 Season our team will compete at the Professional Level in 3 National Series and several other select National and regional Events. We will contest these events with the intent to win, doing everything in our power to accomplish that goal. Our riders have always tried to work harder during the week to give them the edge over all of their competitors.

The 2007 season will prove to be a huge year for the team. I believe that we will have all the right tools that are vital to a successful Racing effort. Here are the ingredients that I believe make up a recipe for success: A strong Work Ethic, Good Family Support, a supportive community, The right training grounds(both for practicing, and physical Training), Dedication, Attention to detail, confidence in yourself as well as confidence in your equipment, A good mechanical background, the right financing, and great sponsors. With all of these vital parts, it is only inevitable that you will have success. This is why we strive to complete this recipe for success before each season begins.

We are very fortunate that we have attained several of the great locations that we have, to use for training grounds. Our family is based in South Eastern Ohio but we have several other Properties located in Florida, North Carolina, and Vermont. Each of these locations proves to have a purpose each year when it comes to pre-season training. In Ohio we have several acres of land spread abroad that allow for diverse training. We have a very large Facility in Jackson County that houses our race vehicles and race shop. We also have a 20 acre plot in Vinton county that is surrounded by thousands of acres of wilderness that prove to be the best practicing grounds that we have found anywhere. In Florida we have a home that is near several sand moto tracks. We use these in preparation during the cold winter months. In North Carolina we have property close to several other, well known, and successful riders' homes, where we can train with them and their families.

I strive to heavily promote all of my sponsors, and to promote the sport. I believe that my sponsors will see a significant increase in sales due to the National Exposure they receive from sponsoring this program. With Internet, Magazine, and Television media starting to increase in our sport, it is the perfect time to get their name out there to the consumer.

I will update this site frequently so check back often to see whats going on.

Right now I am securing major sponsors for the upcoming season. Roush Creek, National HS !

Making a podium at a National Event in any type of racing is a feat only accomplished by few. I feel proud to become one of those fortunate enough to say that I have been to the podium! With my 3rd place finish in sundays National I have gained a lot of confidence and will now work even harder to continue to improve. For more detailed race info go to my race stories page.

Sparta KY, GNCC

With an awesome running Kawasaki kx250 brought to life by my Pro Circuit Platinum2 Pipe and Shorty Silencer, lubricated by Maxima High Performance Lubricants, and Driven by RK Chains, and Renthal Sprockets, that put the power to my Dunlop Tires, I was able to control my Renthal Handlebars, while being protected by my Enduro Engineering handguards, and Sicass Slop Stoppers, with the help of my WER steering Damper, and Pro Circuit suspension to a great finish and another successful promotion of all my sponsors. lol My Moose Racing Gear and Scott goggles also kept me comfortable and protected in the gnarly conditions. Check out Race Stories for More detailed race news.

 New Sponsors!!

Sicass Racing is an awesome company with some great products like Slopstoppers, Fork seal savers, lighting kits and much much more. Check out there website at http://www.sicassracing.com/

SRC (summers racing components) Kevin over at SRC has hooked me up with a Vital Drink System and some Handguard Triple Clamp Mounts. I am impressed with the design of the mounts being built to allow your bars to flex even with barkbusters as they were meant to in the first place. And the Drink System is a much better choice over other offroad racing drink systems. Holding close to double that of many others and offering a much lower profile are only a few of the great performance attributes. Check out thier website at http://www.srcinc.net/

WER (works enduro rider) Drew Smith and the gang have built a great offroad steering damper that has given me much more control in tough racing conditions. I notice a lack of headshake and more control in rutted and gnarly conditions. I highly recommend their damper for all of your racing bikes. Check out thier website at http://www.werproducts.net/

G2ERGO Sam Wankett and crew has developed a great offroad product in thier Throttle Cam System. Offering several differant cams it gives you the option to custimize the power delivery according to rider preferances and track conditions. Check out thier website at http://www.g2ergo.com/

Outerwears INC. Steve Giebel has a race saving product in his waterproof and virtually dustproof prefilters but yet they have great airflow. This truly is one of the best products to put on any bike or quad. The prefilter keeps your filter clean for hours and hours cutting down on filter washing. Check out thier website at http://www.outerwears.com/

OMA National in Rio Grande, OH. Todays event was tough, with 5 miles of technical trial made more even trying by with the light rain during the race. I finished 5th in the Pro class and I am happy with my performance. I actually ran as high as 4th for a few laps until a derailed chain slowed my progress.

Best overall finish ever at the 2006 Loretta Lynn GNCC! At this years event I recorded my highest overall finish of my career. 10th overall is a huge accomplishment and I am super happy with the finish.
